Extensions to Existing Systems


As businesses develop or hit seasonal workload peaks, there can be a call for increased battery change and storage capacity. Total Battery Management can help in these situations with assessments of existing equipment leading to recommendations on how the additional capacity can be met. We can then prepare a proposal of the extension, recommending equipment required and installation proposals. If the new requirement is for short term use we can look at rental of the equipment.

  • Additional roller beds for battery storage can be specified and supplied
  • We can install chargers for the additional equipment
  • If the electrical system needs additional capacity, Total Battery Management can provide that installation in line with Current electrical regulations by an NICEIC registered labour
  • Total Battery Management can carry out a survey of your current battery room ventilation system and check its suitability for the extended fleet
  • Should the ventilation system be insufficient for the extended fleet, then we can design additional ventilation to ensure safe operation of the room
  • If the additional capacity is short term, then we can look to provide the battery and charger capacity on a short term rental basis

Modifications to Existing Systems

As health and safety and manual handling regulations have changed in recent years, existing battery change and handling methods have become dated and may no longer meet current legislation. Total Battery Management can assist in replacing or updating your current equipment by recommending powered or mechanically assisted methods of changing and handling larger batteries. Various types of equipment can be provided to do this such as -

  • Individual winch system for roll on/roll off batteries
  • Group winch systems for roll on/roll off batteries
  • Pallet truck chassis mounted changers for larger roll on/roll off batteries
  • Fork Lift attachments for lift off batteries
  • Single, two and three way powered cranes for larger lift off battery installations
  • Man aboard single, double, triple and quad level change systems for large installations
